#AustrianGP: Ok start in the neighbourhood
Jonas Folger agreed with his start into the weekend at the magnificent Red Bull Ring within in fascinating scenery of Styria’s mountain.
Round eleven of the season, at which Jonas Folger will replace Khairul Idham Pawi once again in the Malaysian PETRONAS Sprinta Racing Team, began very positively for the 25-year-old. Folger was able to put himself in the limelight as eleventh on Friday morning. However, the second session of the day was marked by various set-up tests. Informative findings should help for significant improvements tomorrow.
#94 Jonas FOLGER (PETRONAS Sprinta Racing, KALEX), FP1: P11 – 1´29.573 (22/22) / FP2: P21 – 1´29.995 (17/17):
“Things went quite ok on the first day although, in the afternoon we tried something that worked less well. Afterwards we compared the laps with FP1, and we now know why. Therefore, we will go back to the initial settings. In addition, we made a small change to the chassis, which had a positive effect in contrast to the other attempt. But we are wrong about the gear ratio. We have to change that back again. On the other hand, we will leave the suspension settings unchanged. I think this is a good compromise so that we can continue to improve tomorrow.”
