Successful test at MotorLand Aragon
Jonas Folger improved his performance during a two day test at the Spanish track
After the first podium for the Spanish team in the World Championship, last Sunday in Jerez, the Argiñano & Ginés Racing Team took advantage of two days of testing in Alcañiz to improve the setup of its Kalex Moto2 bikes.
Jonas Folger is still in great shape. Together with his crew he tested a new configuration at the front of his bike that allowed him to be very competitive. On day one he set a time of 1.53.3, which got down to 1.52.9 during the second session on Friday. This marker breaks all official record of this track (it is a second lower than the current record set by Marc Márquez in 2011). They started with the setup from Jerez and the changes to the geometry allowed improving the base, which will be used in Le Mans next week.
#94 Jonas FOLGER (Argiñano & Gines Racing, Kalex) – 1´52.9, 105 laps:
“It was an important test here in Aragon. We tested different things and we were able to set a good pace onboth days, as well as a great fastest lap. I was able to be quick and keep it under control, so I think we have taken another step forward. I’m happy at all.”
