Jonas Folger: “I like the Twin Ring very much”
The 22-year Moto2 rider is a big fan of the 4.8 kilometres long Japanese stop-and-go track.
During the short break after the Aragon Grand Prix, Folger able to re-charge power and energy for the busy three week trip to Asia and Australia. With this weekend’s round 15 of the season at the Twin Ring Motegi, the championship moves into its decisional stage – not only because of the closely packed calendar, but most important for Jonas Folger who was able to put himself back up to the fight for fourth position in the overall standings thanks to consistent strong performances in the last Grand Prix. Not just because of this, but also thanks to some nice successes in Japan, the Kalex rider is looking forward to the start of the annual oversea trip.
#94 Jonas FOLGER (AGR Team, Kalex) – World Championship position 6 (125 points):
“I’m not only looking forward to the Japanese Grand Prix this weekend, but also in general to the three races in the upcoming weeks. This stage of the championship is always something special, solely because of the long trips in this short frame of time. Although it is exhausting, sometimes this trip is really cool and at the same time exciting very time again. Particularly I look forward to the Motegi race even more, because I like the Twin Ring very much. Already in Moto3 class I was able to clinch a podium there and the race two years ago, also in with the Moto3, should have been mine. However, unfortunately I got kicked out during the last lap. In any case, I have a good feeling going into round 15 this weekend. During the break after Aragon until my departure from my home I was able to recover and relax, so I’m able to tackle the last stage of the season full of energy.“
