With re-charged enthusiasm going to Indy

  • 06.08.2015

Jonas Folger has re-charged his batteries during the last weeks and therefore he looks forward with confidence ahead of the second part of the season.

It was a welcome and enjoyable three weeks summer break for Folger after his home race held at the Sachsenring mid of last month. The 21 year young Bavarian Moto2 rider was in holiday where he was able to kick back and thanks to continue his targeted training schedule Folger to maintain his form. But now Folger, who currently lies in seventh position in the World Standings, looks forward to the opening round of the season’s second part at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The famous and well-known as Brickyard named American circuit is a trully special place for him as Folger finished on the podium in third place three years’ time ago which marks a turnaround in his 2012 season.

#94 Jonas FOLGER (AGR Team, Kalex) – World Championship position 7 (77 position):

“The break came exactly at the right moment after the demanding home race at the Sachsenring. However, after three weeks off racing I’m hot and eager to jump back on my Kalex bike now. For this reason I really look forward to Indianapolis, as well to start into the second half of the season. Nevertheless, I enjoyed some holidays to its best, so I could relax and get a clear mind. Apart of that I continued my physical preparation in order to take the first races after break fit and well-prepared. I also tried to work on myself, or rather to find a way to perform more consistently. But in this respect it is difficult to prepare otherwise or specifically because particularly in this respect many different things are decisive during a race weekend. Anyway, during the last weeks I got a clear mind, recharged fresh enthusiasm and now I target to do all more in order to achieve my dream, namely to jump back on the podium again. Hopefully I manage it well already in Indy this weekend, which of course would be a great start after the break. In any case I look forward to the second part optimistic and thanks to good memories I head into the Indianapolis round highly motivated. My third place back in 2012 was somewhat of a turnaround over the course of the season. “
