Folger is very eager of matching of even improving his performance during the Argentina round last month.
The Gran Premio de Espana at the Circuito de Jerez has been an integral part of the calendar since a long time. Meanwhile, it’s 30 years that the Spanish round is held in Andalucía and for years, it’s also the first race of the series on European soil. #94 Jonas FOLGER (Monster Yamaha Tech 3, Yamaha YZF-M1), Championship position 8th (21 points):
“I look forward to the first European race every year. In Jerez, I like not only the circuit, but I also feel very well here at all. I like the Andalusian flair and lifestyle. In addition, I had a strong run here in recent years too. Second on the grid and also second in the race last year, as well as my victory in 2015 gives an additional boost for the weekend. That’s why I think that Jerez is the best place to start the races in Europe.”
“After the rather difficult weekend last time in Texas, our goal is to make steps forward again here in Jerez. Two weeks ago, we have not made really progress. In Jerez, we want to show again that there is more possible than just to finish in the top 10. I want to repeat and build on my Argentina performance.”
