After a disappointing outcome with crossing the line in 16th position in Sunday’s Moto2™ Grand Prix of The Americas, Jonas Folger already looks forward to the next race in Argentina

It was a punishing race weekend for the 21 year old Kalex rider, coming to Texas on a high after his sensational victory at the opening race in Qatar. Even that his main rivals in the World standing weren’t capable of taking as many points from the Texan round, is no consolation for Folger. The disappointment is that huge, because that he and his crew didn’t find any way to overcome the malaise, namely to develop to setup his machine in a proper way which suites the fast and flowing track at the Circuit of The Americas. To all disaster he missed the final points scoring position by whisker as Folger crossed the line in P16.

#94 Jonas FOLGER (AGR Team, Kalex) – 16th, World Standing Position 3rd:

“In stark contrast to last time there is not much to tell about this race, except of that fact that the disappointment is really huge today. From the very first beginning at this weekend we went against a wall. We weren’t able to setup the bike in way which suites my riding style and to get a good feeling with the bike. We really worked in any direction and tried every possible thing, but we were never able to find a solution even remotely. Finally also a massive change for race didn’t work out. All efforts were nothing. A tiny step, if we would have been able to find, then the outcome of the weekend could have been contrary. So the only thing we can do at the moment is to focus on the future and to start from scratch in Argentina, doesn’t if Austin was such a tough experience or you never know what’s going to happen. Nevertheless we can go to Rio Hondo with a good feeling in our mind, because we know that we were strong there in every practice session one year ago. That keeps our motivation high, although of course I also was highly motivated to give my best for my tasks in every single session this weekend.”
