WorldSBK rookie Jonas Folger draws new courage after the setbacks of Donington.

This weekend, FIM Superbike World Championship will once again hit a guest appearance at a place that is rich of history. After the meeting at Donington Park in England three weeks ago, the series is now pitching its tents at the “Cathedral of Speed” in the north of the Netherlands, where the production-based bikes championship has been an integral part of the race calendar for years.

The fourth stop of the season earlier this month was a tough one for Jonas Folger and his Bonovo Action / MGM Racing Performance team to overcome. But after a feverish search, several inconsistencies to the BMW M 1000 RR were located and ironed out. But that is not the only reason why 27-year-old German Jonas Folger is looking forward to the upcoming task at the tradition-steeped TT Circuit of Assen full of beans.

#94 Jonas FOLGER (Bonovo Action / MGM Racing Performance, BMW M 1000 RR):

“I am looking forward to Assen and at the same time I am also incredibly happy that it is going on again after the somewhat longer break. Beyond that, I am also greatly confident for this weekend. Donington was not easy for all of us to cope with but after returning from England, we immediately started detailed analysis to find the cause of the puzzling performance. We also found something quickly and I think we have been able to fix the fault in the meantime. So, my bike should be back at the level with which I felt wonderfully comfortable before. Therefore, I can hardly wait to finally get back aboard the BMW Superbike. I am sure that things should be more pleasing again in Assen right from the start. In addition, the TT circuit is a great track that suits my riding style particularly well. So, in purely theoretical terms, all the ingredients are ready to help us get back on an upward trend.”
