The fifth stop of the current MotoGP™ World Championship takes the series to the historic Bugatti Circuit in Le Mans, some 200 kilometres southwest of Paris.

The second weekend in May is marked particularly thick in the calendar for the GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3 team every year, because then the outfit from the south of France goes to Le Mans for the very popular Grand Prix de France.

Jonas Folger will contest his third race weekend in the eye-catching red colours of GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3 as he continues to replace Spaniard Pol Espargaro. Folger’s participation in the Jerez test early last week will certainly allow him to come to Le Mans with more confidence riding the KTM RC16, with which he feels increasingly comfortable.

“After the test in Jerez, I am confident for my team’s home Grand Prix at Le Mans. They will all be particularly motivated to race at home in front of their own fans and that is why I want to do well in France. I have good memories of Le Mans and have ridden good races there in the past. So, I am looking forward to another great weekend with the guy in my garage and hope we will take another step after we did so in Jerez.”
